A total of $60,000 has been raised so far this year in the One Foot Raised challenge thanks to the incredible commitment of the Jesuit Mission Australia family and the creative efforts of school groups.
We are grateful for the amazing fundraising contributions from schools and parishes, including Sevenhill Parish South Australia, St Aloysius’ College Milsons Point, Saint Ignatius’ College Riverview, Saint Ignatius College Geelong and John XXIII College Perth.
Thank you all!

A huge inflatable shark was a central component in the fundraising effort by John XXIII College in Perth.
As the college noted on its social channels, “Some of the coldest minutes of the year turned out to be some of the most generous. Our Year 12 leaders and staff recently took on the Ice Plunge challenge, raising funds for Jesuit Mission’s work in Hazaribag, India. Thanks to the generosity of our college community, we raised more than $10,000!”

About One Foot Raised
Launched in the lead-up to 31 July, the Feast of St Ignatius, the challenge gets its name from St Ignatius, the founder of the Society of Jesus, who espoused keeping “one foot raised” to readily respond to others’ needs.
Individuals and community groups can participate anywhere – local areas, parks, ovals, gyms or even on treadmills at home! Participants can choose to walk 7.5km, 15km, 25km or 75km over any duration of their choice.
Will you help us raise $75,000 for our 75th anniversary year?
It’s still not too late to register and take part in the challenge. Register individually or with your school, your parish or community group to raise money for those who are living on the margins while coping with poverty and injustice.
