In this video at the Jesuit cemetery in Hazaribag, Fr Amit Toppo SJ, Hazaribag Province Development Director, shares memories of the late Fr Geoff Meagher SJ, the Australian Jesuit missionary who served in India for 54 years and contributed to the rich legacy of 75 years of Jesuit mission.
Arriving in Hazaribag in 1966, Fr Geoff served in a variety of education, formation and vocation roles, inspiring generations of young people. For Fr Amit, he was “one of the great examples of an ideal role model for young people” who was full of life, full of fun and completely dedicated to others.
